CrossLab Project Meeting in Ilmenau
At the meeting in summery Ilmenau on 3 and 4 July, the two working groups of the CrossLab project - technology and didactics - presented their respective work status. These two perspectives were combined in workshops focused on the UI/UX view of the implementation and the classification of existing labs. This approach allowed for a comprehensive examination of integrating technological advancements with pedagogical strategies. The participants decided that the didactics working group would be transformed to serve as an evaluation platform for existing labs for the remainder of the project. Students will present their installations and receive feedback from their colleagues, fostering a more interactive and constructive environment.
The technology group showcased significant progress in developing new tools to enhance lab functionality, including a more intuitive user interface and advanced analytics for performance tracking. The didactics group provided insights into refining teaching methodologies and assessment strategies, emphasizing the importance of aligning lab activities with contemporary educational standards.
The workshops addressed classifying existing labs based on technological complexity and educational impact, helping to identify development areas and prioritize resources. This classification will play a crucial role in the ongoing improvement of lab design and functionality.
The meeting in Ilmenau marked a pivotal moment for the CrossLab project, setting the stage for the next phase of development and collaboration. The combined efforts of the technology and didactics groups, along with active student participation, are poised to drive the project towards revolutionizing laboratory education.
